Very friendly and accommodating owners, we are appreciative of; great secluded riverfront location for ending a canoe float downriver. great scenery. Campground is bare bones, primitive conditions, but showers provided in main building on site, common well tap for ground water supply. Plenty of room for improvements to be made, hard to get to all of them I'm sure. No problem with insects other than chiggers on the ground. Bring and use DEET! Plenty of fish in the river. The 8 mile float may take you all day if you stop to enjoy the fishing or swimming pools. I would come back to the area but explore another option for home base.
Came for a end of season float trip. It was just this side of amazing. Will be returning and recommending to all my friends. Frank was honest and completely fair about the scope of the river.
We had the best time and Frank and Susan are the best!!! We had breakfast in the morning and dinner at night. We didn't have to lift a finger and it was delicious!!! Nice, quiet and air conditioned cabins that are really sound proof. They also have tent spots. This will be our new get away spot from now on. Thank you Frank and Susan for making our vacation the best!!
Came here on a whim to rent a couple kayaks to adventure on the Ouachita river. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service I received. The owner was very nice and extremely helpful as a tour guide. The stretch of river that we floated was beautiful and full of nice pools to swim in. I would like to come back to see what the cabin packages he offers are like. Would recommend.
